In our company we work with cubic zirconia, natural gemstones, fresh water pearls, crystals and diamonds.

Every different kind of stone need different treatment and setting ways. Since crystal and pearls are mostly glue or pin, here we only introduce the setting way for cubic zirconia, gemstones and diamonds.

Big sizes and Alien shapes stones usually work as center stone. For center stones, most setting way in the market will be like below:

Center Stone Setting

1.Prong Setting: one of favourite and most widely used in jewellery setting. There are two vertical prongs, two horizontal prongs, four prongs, six prongs and eight prongs. The prong shapes can be different like round, button, square and triangle. The thickness of prong can be thin and delicate or thick and strong. It’s really up to your like.

2. Basket setting is a classic and clean-looking setting like the center stone in a basket.

3. Peg Set: a clean and simple setting that keeps the diamond close to the band and really shows off the diamond.

4.Illusion Set: a beautiful setting that allows the center stone to appear larger than it is.

5.Decorative Set: a beautiful and intricate design that hold the center stones in a detailed basket.

6.Bezel Set: a modern setting that metal rim around the stone from all sides, fitting the center stone.
Half Bezel: a modern setting that metal rim partially around the stone to have a stone sit in the center.

7.Bar/Channel Set: an elegant setting style that uses small cuts in metal ‘bars’ on either side of the stone to hold it in place, especially fitting for square shape stones.

8.Bright-Cut Set:  with low prongs and usually a slightly beveled side wall that brings out a shine.

9.Trellis Set: four interweaving prongs are shaped to hold the center stone, crossing over each other in a classically secure silhouette.

Side Stones Setting

For tiny small size stones, mostly round shape. We put on side, there are also a lot of ways to do like channel, bead&bright-cut, bezel, surface prong, shared prong, bar, scallop, fishtail, flush and pave.

With the above information, surely you don’t worry how to choose the prong style for your designs. Hopefully you have great selection.

Sunken Hammer is a technique that distresses the smooth surface to create a bent, wavy, or flattened effect. It also hardens wire and adds a special texture to it. The texture is a bit sunken or engraved. To get the same nice texture and cost saving, we usually make this effect on mother mold.

Hammer 1: big and loose hammer

This hammer is loose and rough hammer, we call it as big hammer, which is what we see mostly in market.

Hammer 2: small and delicate hammer

This is made by drill bits with hand, taking more time to do, creating a delicate texture and detail looking. Form far review, it looks like cubic zirconia setting effect.

If any inquiry for this hammer, please don’t hesitate to email us at inquiry@rfsilver.net, our team will be very happy to answer your question. Thanks.

Raise Hammer means the hammer raised on the surface, not in the surface(sunken hammer). The inspiration is from the rock surface.

This effects gets crazy hot once we offer to our customers.

(Raised hammer and sunken hammer compare)

As this effect is 100% hand made, need high technical. Our goldsmith melt the silver and solder on the jewelry pcs, it takes a lot of work and time. So every jewelry looks unique.

To save production time and cost, we make this on silver mother mold, then it can do mass production.

This is the jewellery designers’ new favorite. The jewellery look so natural and nice. Even very simple design can get good looking. Strong recommend.

We accept customized designs for this too, email to inquiry@rfsilver.net for any interest thanks.

Brush craft is quite often used during jewellery making. No matter pendant, earring, or bangle and rings, some whole pcs brush, some brush and shiny mixed, some brush and matte mixed.

Brush has soft and silk feeling, not sharp, not strong. That’s why so many people love it so much.

In Renfook, we have two versions of brush, we call thick and tiny brush. They use different tools to get these effect, rotative tool to get thick brush, and sandy paper to get tiny brush.

Brush can bring the strong nice looking contrast for the concave and convex sides.

The best part of brush is that it can handle the angel, concave and corner well, compared with polishing, as polishing tools can not get in.

When brush mixed with shiny, it shows well for both effect. The jewelry layering is more obvious, make jewellery looking more three dimensional and vivid.

If you have any question about brush, don’t hesitate to email us inquiry@rfsilver.net thanks.
